Michael Jackson: the King of Pop

Born in August 29, 1958, Michael Jackson is recognized as one of the world's most successful entertainers. He was inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame twice, and throughout the course of his career collected 26 American Music Awards, 13 number-one hit singles, and 13 Grammy's, including the Grammy Legend Award and Grammy Lifetime Achievement Award.

To date, Michael Jackson's 1982 album Thriller is still his best-selling album, having won a record-breaking eight Grammy awards. The music video for the title track "Thriller" became the only music video preserved by Library of Congress to the National Recording Registry. The King of Pop continued to create ground-breaking music until his death on June 25, 2009 at 50 years old.
